Russia began to invade Ukraine starting on February 24, 2022. Ukraine has been hit hard by bombs. Ukraine now has no water or electricity in their main cities. Russia has been sending missiles in Ukraine a lot in this war and has also killed many civilians. M. King said that “the Ukrainian people have been strong, and it is wrong how Russia is bombing schools, churches, and hurting people and their families.”

Many civilians are trying to leave the country, but Russia is making it hard by dropping bombs and hurting anyone that gets in their way. Ukraine citizens are starting to live in the metro station which is the underground train station. Ms. King says that “throughout history wars in the winter with Russia does not end well. Also, she said that” it will be interesting to see if other countries will send troops to help Ukraine.”

Putin, the President of Russia, said he does not plane of pulling out of the war until he has control of Ukraine, according to CNN news. Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, said that he will fight to help protect his country and his people. The Russian and Ukraine war could end soon because of the harsh winters in Ukraine according to Ukraine military officials.
