UNC commit, sick with flu, drops 30

by Dylan Carpenter

Five-star UNC basketball commit Ian Jackson shined in a win for Our Savior Lutheran School in New York with the flu. He scored 33 points in a 101-78 blowout against Rolling Loud School from Florida. His high school is a part of the well known Overtime Elite High School League and one of the toughest high school basketball leagues in the nation. He is The University of North Carolina’s  top recruit in 2024 along with Drake Powell who goes to Northwood high school in North Carolina. Ian Jackson will graduate high school this year and attend UNC next year on a basketball scholarship. He was recently selected to play in the McDonald’s All-American game. Currently he is ranked the 2nd best recruit in this year's class and the top shooting guard in the country. UNC fans are loving this performance because of how similar it was to a UNC legend Michael Jordan’s flu game in the 1997 finals. The future is bright for the Tar Heel recruit.
