Tito's Takes: Cam Newton is Back

by Tyler Thompson

In lieu of Sam Darnold being placed on injured reserve due to a shoulder injury, the Panthers have signed QB Cam Newton. Sam Darnold is out for 4-6 weeks, so Cam Newton will have a real shot at redemption.

On the Pat Mcafee Show, Ian Rappaport said, "Cam Newton is going to be the Carolina Panthers starter next week. I dunno what it's going to become, but he will be their starter for the rest of the season.”

This means that even if Darnold comes back, it is Cam’s job to lose.

It was first reported earlier today (11 November 2021) that Newton was meeting with the Panthers, per Jonathan M .Alexander.

Ian Rappaport reported that Cam Newton is also now vaccinated, which means that Cam Newton should be able to get back into action relatively soon.

This week, the Panthers take on the Cardinals. Next week will be a very exciting game as the Panthers will take on the Washington Football Team. The coach of which, Ron Rivera, happens to be Cam Newton’s former coach in Carolina.

Panthers fans should be hopeful to see a newfound energy in Carolina. Cam Newton is back.
