The Mustang GT v Dodge Scat Pack

by Wesley Howard

The Ford Mustang and the Dodge Scat Pack are two rivals from two different brands. They are both entry level sports cars that offer amazing power and amazing comfort. They are often compared to each other because they have similar features and performance.

The Mustang GT is a great car; it comes with 460 horsepower, rear wheel drive, and a 10-speed automatic transmission that is very strong. The Mustang GT’s 5.0L v8 coyote engine makes 460 horsepower from the factory, and is very strong and reliable. The engine, which was given the name “coyote,” is very easy to modify and it will handle upgrandes very well. The Mustang is one of the cheapest muscle cars with a starting msrp of $38,045. The Mustang GT is a two door coupe that has a rear row of seats. Mustangs have great colors like rapid red, atlas blue, and dark matter gray. The Ford Mustang is a very maneuverable car with a race-like steering feel, and a nice leather steering wheel. From a survey that I put on a muscle car forum, “Mustangs are the cheapest way to get into muscle and sports cars.”

The Dodge Scat Pack comes in two options: a widebody which offers wider fenders, and wider tire, or normal. Both the widebody and the normal Dodge Scat Pack come with a 6.2 liter V8 with 485 horsepower. The Scat Pack is equipped with an 8 speed automatic transmission. The engine and transmission in Dodges are not that reliable and not very strong. With 475 ft of torque and a total weight of 4,385 pounds the Scat Pack will often spin tires and not get good traction when full throttle. Because of this, the Mustang will beat a Scat Pack in a race.

Although these cars are very similar in terms of their performance, the Mustang will win in a race. The Scat Pack comes with a better interior for cheaper. The Mustang is better for performance upgrades because of how strong the engine is built. In the end it all comes down to preference but from a performance standpoint the Mustang is better.
