Super bowl 57 (LVII) will be played on Sunday, February 12th, 2023, between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. Kickoff is at 6:30 pm and it is located at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Representing the NFC, we have the Philadelphia Eagles. They were predicted to win by covering a 1.5 spread, meaning they are slightly better and predicted to win. Representing the AFC, meanwhile, are the Kansas City Chiefs. The two teams can be told apart by their respective color schemes. The Eagles wear green, white, and black uniforms, while the Chiefs are in red, gold, and white.

Jalen Hurts is the Eagles' starting quarterback (No. 1). Hurts, one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the game, is equally adept at dismantling defenses on the ground and the air. This season, he completed 66.5% of his throws, a career-high rate of 8.0 yards per attempt, and he threw a career-high 22 touchdown passes compared to just six interceptions. He rushed for an extra 760 yards and an astounding 13 touchdowns.

Patrick Mahomes is the Chiefs' starting quarterback (No. 15). The 2022 season may have been the best of the MVP candidate's career. Tyreek Hill, one of the league's most dynamic playmakers, was traded away by the Chiefs, yet Patrick Mahomes still topped the NFL in passing yards (5,250) and touchdowns (41).

Overall, the Super Bowl is one of the most watched events of the year and is a great activity to watch with your family or friends.

The 57th Super Bowl did not disappoint. Both quarterbacks had outstanding games and led their teams throughout the game. The final score was 38-35 and the Kansas City Chiefs won the game with a game winning field goal with 8 seconds on the clock after a questionable holding call causing the Chiefs to get a first down and seal the game. For more on this questionable call, see my article in next week's issue.
