Greenfield School recently had the annual prom at the County Line Bluegrass Barn. The prom kicked off around 8 pm on April 28th. Spanish teacher - and DJ - Sr. Giron made sure everyone was having a good time on the dance floor. He played a variety of songs varying from country music, to old music, to rap music, to pop music, and even to Spanish music. No matter what your taste in music was, you were sure to have a good time on the dance floor. Even some faculty joined in to the dancing.
The theme of the prom was Black and Gold. When attendees walked in, they were greeted by Mr. Thomson and Mrs. Peters. Laid across the entrance was a gold carpet with candles on the aisles. The downstairs area had gold confetti scattered across the floor and a black and gold balloon arch to take photos under (to see all prom photos click here, photo credits: Justin Aggrey).
Downstairs were snacks and drinks for all the attendees. Also, a taco truck was outside of the barn.
The barn had a really nice vibe to it. It was wooden with various decorations on the walls. On the upstairs dance floor, the wood would give a little bit when dancers jumped up and down on it. Overall, everyone enjoyed the entirety of prom.
Mrs. King, Mrs. Pace, and the junior class made all of this possible. Aidan Blackmon and Jeallan Holland took initiative and really helped plan the entire prom out. The entire junior class helped to set up prom and helped clean up afterwards. Special
thanks to all the faculty who monitored over prom and made everything possible. All in all, prom this year was one to remember and all returning students look forward to next year’s prom.
