Oscars Season approaches

by Zachary Rankin

The Oscars are coming up soon and it is a very anticipated wait for movies, actors, and audiences to know who will win Best Picture. The favorite, as we all know, is OppenheimerThere are some others though who could give “Oppenheimer” a scare like “Barbie,” Poor Things and Maestro. Tthe cast of Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr, and more famous stars, made it probably the best casted movie of all time. The cast of Barbie is also great with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as the stars who could give Oppenheimer a run for its money. Maestro being a Netflix movie is big for Netflix, as we question if Netflix can take over the movie industry.

In my survey of Greenfield students, I asked who they thought would win Best Picture. The results came in  with 57.1% saying Oppenheimer would win and then Barbie, Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things received 14.3% each asking it a question to all if one of those three movies could win it over Oppenheimer

In my interview with Xavier Baptiste, I asked what awards ceremony/show the best for entertainment was. He responded with it being the Oscars over the Emmy’s and more. Another question was who would win Best Picture. He said it would be Oppenheimer.
