Obituary: Madeleine Albright (1937-2022)

by Ethan Carraway

Madeleine Albright was one of the most successful political figures in the history of America and she recently passed away this March. She served as the first female secretary of state and she showed how good a diplomat could be. She was born on May 15th, 1937 and died March 23rd, 2022.

Her history involves her experience as a secretary and other political roles. She originally came to America with her family from Czechoslovakia where they decided to live in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from Wellesley College and gained another degree (a PhD) at Columbia University.

Her first experience with politics was when she aided a senator; from that point on, she never left the political scene.

Most of these topics don’t even scratch the surface of what she has been involved with but what I do know is that Madeleine Albright will never be forgotten as one of the most important political figures of the 20th-21st centuries.
