How far will the Carolina Hurricanes make it this 2022/2023 season?

The Hurricanes had a busy offseason with many trades. The organization was able to acquire many skillful players such as Paul Stastny, Ryan Dzingel, Brent Burns, and Max Pacioretty.

While gathering fresh players, they also lost some fan favorites. Nino Niederriter was offered and signed a contract in Nasville to play with the Predators and Vincent Trocheck signed with the New York Rangers. Both played large roles last year.

The Hurricanes ended one of their best seasons last year with 116 points (first in their division) and made it all the way to game 7 in the second round of the playoffs, where they were defeated by the Rangers, 2-6. Their star player of the regular season was Sebastian Aho, leading all players on the team in goals, assists, and points.

Preseason for the Canes begins September 26th. The team will play Tampa Bay Lightning at PNC Arena in Raleigh at 7pm. The regular season will follow preseason games as opening night is October 12th. Let’s go Canes!
