NHL season off to roaring start

The NHL's (National Hockey League) season started on the 13th of October. All teams have experienced wins and losses. The team leaders of the league go to the Vegas Golden Knights (22pts.), Boston Bruins (20pts.), and the New Jersey Devils who sit in third(18pts.). Point leaders in the league belong to Connor McDavid who has 25 points, Leon Draisaitl in second with 23 points, and Nikita Kucherov in third with 20 points.

The Carolina Hurricanes have landed themselves in a steady 5th place position in the league and a 2nd place position in the Metropolitan Division. The Hurricanes have an 8-3-1 record, and they have a total of nine points as of October 27th. Martin Necas leads the team with 17 points and 10 assists. Andrei Svechnikov leads in goals with eight.

Head Coach Rod Brind’Amour spoke with the media on October 27th. He stated, “I think its commitment from the guys that is the biggest thing [that has contributed to our winning record].”
