NFL Wild Card round

by Dylan Carpenter

The NFL playoffs begin next week with some unexpected story lines following it. In the NFC Rams quarterback Mathew Stafford will return to Detroit to face former Rams quarterback Jared Goff. The Cowboys will face the Packers who are a rather surprising team in Dallas. In 2011 the Packers defeated the Steelers for the Super Bowl in the Cowboys stadium. The Eagles late season collapse has them facing the Buccaneers in Tampa.

In the AFC we have Tyreek Hill returning to Kanas City taking on a vulnerable Chiefs team. Trak Godwin said, “I think the Chiefs are fakes, they are not a good team.” I agree with him because the Chiefs were blown out by the Raiders recently and other bottom feeder teams. Almost forgotten Joe Flacco, the Browns comeback quarterback will face rookie quarterback for the Houston Texans and overachiever CJ Stroud. The Bills caught fire at the end of the season to make a playoff push, this has them facing the Steelers who are missing star defensive end TJ Watt to injury. The favorites, Ravens and 49ers will enjoy a first round bye for claiming the best record in their conferences. This is shaping up to be a great post season. I think the Buccaneers will win the Super Bowl because Baker Mayfield is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. The Buccaneers are lucky to have landed him in free agency this summer.
