New Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Susan Foulk

by Gabby Beddingfield

Susan Foulk started teaching science classes at Greenfield School at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. Mrs. Foulk’s husband, Larry Foulk, started teaching at Greenfield last year, when their son joined the lower school.

Mrs. Foulk explained that being outdoors and exploring was a part of how she was raised and who she became, and that’s why she became a science teacher. She has taught in many different environments, and Greenfield isn’t too far from her daughters, so it’s a great place for her.

When asked what her favorite subject to teach was, Mrs. Foulk said, “I would say my favorite topic in biology is genetics.” About her favorite age to teach, Mrs. Foulk said, she enjoys teaching different ages for different reasons.

Mrs. Foulk’s dream place to live would be either the beach or mountains. She has her scuba diving certification down to 500 feet, enjoys reading, and participating in many outdoor activities. Her favorite animal is a dog and favorite color is royal blue.

Mrs. Foulk loves being with her family. She said, “We’ve learned to realize that sometimes we just need to let things go, that what is really important is that we’re all still together.”

We are very excited to have Mrs. Foulk join Greenfield School!
