Our second New Teacher Spotlight highlights Mrs. Regina Stafford.
Mrs. Stafford started teaching math and science classes at Greenfield School at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. Stafford grew up in Falcon, North Carolina, and attended Emmanuel College. She played both softball and volleyball growing up.
Stafford noted that, growing up, she wanted to be a missionary. She decided to become a teacher because she loves working with kids of all ages. She has worked with kids in many different areas. Greenfield is her fourth school she has taught at, and Stafford has been teaching for seven years.
Stafford likes the learning atmosphere at Greenfield School, as well as that there are few behavior issues. Stafford recognizes that there are not a lot of places like Greenfield.
Her favorite animal is a cheetah, and her favorite color is electric blue. When asked what her dream place to live would be, Stafford said, “I think I’m living in it!”
Stafford perseveres through the challenges she faces. Stafford said, “I’ve got a vocal disorder, but I just keep teaching.” She feels that if she didn’t have this obstacle in her life, there would be something else.
About teaching, Stafford said, “It’s the most difficult, but one of the most rewarding jobs I’ve ever had.” Mrs. Stafford is happy to be here, and we are happy to have her at Greenfield School.
