by Cader Garrett

On Monday January 1st, 2024, Michigan beat Alabama in the Rose Bowl. The game went into overtime with a score of 27-20 with Michigan winning.

Many fans were sad to see this loss and could not believe what happened when they lost. Joseph Batchelor said that he was incredibly sad that he lost but he was more disappointed because he knew that they could have won.

Joseph also stated, “I knew it was going to be a close game, but in the end, I believed that we would have come on top.” Alabama was up most of the game until Michigan got a touchdown and then on the next play, they hit a field goal that sent them into overtime, and Michigan's running back Blake Corum had a 17yd rushing touchdown to seal the game.

Michigan later will have to play Washington in the finals of the Rose Bowl.
