LSU wins national championship

by Clara Graf

On Sunday April 2, LSU won the National Championship 2023 in Dallas.

LSU met Iowa in the finals after beating Virginia Tech in a nerve-wracking game. In the end, LSU won 79-72 against VT. Iowa met South Carolina in the semifinals, and Iowa won 77-73.

This championship made history for coach Kim Mulkey and her team from LSU, as it was the first time for that team to be in the final and the first time in the program's history to win the title of national champions.

Angel Reese one of the new players this year. She tranferred from Maryland to Louisiana, helped the team a lot not only as a player but also with her amazing mindset and hard, humbled work and passion for the sport and her team.
