Juniors take trip to ECU

by George Scholl

On Friday, October 21, the junior class went on a field trip to the Chemistry and Biotechnology labs at East Carolina University. When I interviewed our chemistry teacher, Mrs. Lupton, she said that we would learn about the opportunities they have there and we would be able to see what types of things they do there.

We also saw what a college lab looks like to have a better idea of if we want to do that in college. In addition, Mrs. Lupton said that we would be toured around the labs by Greenfield students who had graduated.

She also said that the instruments they use are just larger-scale versions of the instruments we have at Greenfield and that it would be interesting to see the tools they use in a college lab.
