Two eagles nested in the mountains of Southern California, Jackie and Shadow, have been observed for approximately fourteen years (according to Friends of Big Bear Valley) up until now, and have been excellent subjects for study to the organization that originally planted the cameras, Friends of Big Bear Valley.
Jackie, the female and shadow, the male, have nested in nearby valley Bernardino, California. Their two eggs have been expected to hatch for the past two weeks, and the possibility they might be dead is growing more likely as their expected date of hatching becomes less accurate.
These two eagles have captured, the attention of their views through a livestream on Youtube, linked on the homepage of the organization that owns the cameras that allow for spectating the two eagles at friendsofbigbearvalley.com. Here, there are three different perspectives from which the viewer can witness how the eagles go about their daily lives from any time of day, so long as at least one of the cameras is operational.
