On April 5th and 6th, Greenfield put on our annual upper and middle school play, “The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe”. The play was directed by Mr. Penwell, middle and upper school Spanish teacher, Director of Student Life and Theatre teacher.

Mr Penwell says he chose this play specifically because he knew he could include a lot of people and he had been wanting to do it for a while. Mr. Penwell also works with Wilson Arts and Act for Youth, directing and putting on plays. Mr. Penwell has been directing the school play for six years, but Greenfield has done more plays before that.

“The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” was held at the Boykin Center in downtown Wilson. The play was open for middle school and upper school students to audition for; students in theatre were required to audition. Mr. Penwell says, “I think the play went a lot better than expected, this is one of our best plays yet.” The play had fight scenes, special sound effects and lots of props. Greenfield is very proud of everyone who was in the play and the people behind the scenes, and we cannot wait to see what Greenfield brings to the stage next year!
