The Greenfield School golf team recently had their final match. This match was held on Thursday April 27th. The players that went on this match were Henry Daniel, Connor Daniel, Cooper Howell, William Lanier, and Zachary Owens. Henry Daniel scored a 95, William Lanier scored a 97 and Cooper Howell scored a 100 which are not good scores. They played at Taberna Country club and came in fourth place. They had a combined score of 292 which would be the second time the golf team has scored under 300. The match was originally supposed to be on Friday April 28th but it was rescheduled to Thursday in order to have time in case of any rain delays.

The team qualified on the Monday and the Wednesday of that same week. Henry Daniel, William Lanier, and Zachary Owens were qualified because they had the lowest average score. Connor Daniel finished the first day with a 51, Cooper with a 53, Wesley with a 55, and CJ with a 57. On Wednesday Cooper Howell scored a 47, Wesley with a 47, and Connor with a 52, and CJ did not show up. Connor Daniel beat Wesley Howard in a putt off.

Henry Daniel, who was the best player on our team, said, “it was a nice course, and we just messed up. We should have done better but we still got it handed to us.”
