The Greenfield varsity boys basketball team are nearing the end of the normal season with some of their biggest games yet. As of January 24, 2024 their record is nineteen wins with five losses and hopefully Tuesday January 23rd's game against our biggest rivals Wayne Country Day will be their twentieth win. The boys also have a game against Wilson Preparatory Academy on February 3rd and that many are also excited for.

Varsity boys Assistant Coach Rod Edwards states that the game against Wayne Country Day game "It's gonna be exciting. It's gonna be very intense. But we gonna come out with the win”. Games against Wayne Country Day have always been very intense with both teams having their fair share of wins and losses against the other. Many of Greenfield’s students are excited about this upcoming game and all six respondents to my poll believe that the game will end in a Greenfield victory.

The game against Wilson Preparatory Academy, more commonly referred to as “Wilson Prep” or “Prep”, could possibly be even more intense than the Wayne Country Day game due to amount of fans that don’t go to either school who could show up. Assistant Coach Rod Edwards states “The crowd is going to be crazy in there. They're going to have music. DJ is going to be very loud and we're going to have to come to play”. This game may even be one of the most anticipated matchups in Wilson. Hopefully Greenfield will beat Wilson Prep as they did lose to them earlier in the season in a tight game. The come-back game will take place on February 3rd at Wilson Preparatory Academy.
