The Fall Sports season ended with a bang, and all four sports made it to the playoffs. On Friday October 27th Cross Country competed at the States meet in Raleigh NC. All the fall sports teams ended in the past two weeks (week of October 16th-21st and week of October 23rd-27th)
I interviewed athletic director Rob Salter, I asked him how he thinks cross country will do at states and he said, “I’m excited because there are two teams not just one girls improved dramatically thinking we can do well”.
I took a poll to see how people thought cross country would do at the state meet and they concluded that 80% of people think cross country will place 10+, 10% of people think they will get 3rd, and 10% of people think they will get 1st.
Volleyball made it to the second round of playoffs. They lost at home against St Thomas Moore. With an overall winning stat of 9-13 they pushed hard and improved tremendously fighting to win every game until the last point.
Soccer made it to the third round of playoffs and lost at Fayetteville Academy. The soccer team fought hard at their last game with three red cards two of which went to Lnadyn Coolbaugh and Garrison Wester. The third went to Coach Wilkison, he was forced to leave the game but that did not stop the team from fighting for that win.
Tennis made it to the first round of playoffs, but lost at home against Faith Christian. With an overall winning stat of 3-15, they had a tough season but pushed until the very end.
