The varsity boys were victorious over Wayne Country Day (WCD) Friday, October 14, 2022, winning 7-1.

The goals were scored by Jo-Willem Tewes, Nathan Lozevski, Noah Wright, Lee Powell, and Landyn Coolbaugh.

Goalie Nick Wester only allowed one goal out of the five shots he faced.

Many supporters showed up at the game wearing green and white and cheering the team on. I interviewed freshman Landyn Coolbaugh about the game. He said, “This Homecoming experience was much better than last year. There were more fans and more goals. We were eager to win, to redeem ourselves after we lost the previous year against WCD.”

Landyn talked about how nerve-racking it was at the start, but once goals were scored, he was able to feel more relaxed. “I felt particularly good after the game, and I was extremely proud of the team,” the freshman stated.

The Homecoming Court was magnificent. In total,14 girls were on the court, including representatives. The senior class had 11 girls on the court, all looking beautiful. Freshman Georgia Daniel, Sophomore Ella Barnes Boykin, and Junior Serenity McNair all represented their classes. The 2022 Homecoming Queen was Chloe Howard.
