Greenfield adopts Punchalert

by Danny Pham

Each of us has a responsibility to follow the rules in order to keep our

schools safe and secure.

Mr. Manna from Greenfield School feels that Greenfield School has a very safe campus, and he feels so confident that his wife works at Greenfield and his children also attend there.

While he has not witnessed any school violence at Greenfield, he reiterated some rules about safety on campus.

Some examples of these are: the police attending at events to serve, disallowing food delivery services, and teachers wearing I.D. badges to learn one another’s name effectively as well as remove the people from campus if they don’t belong to GFS’s community.

Additionally, Teachers and students practice a number of emergency drills each year. Mr. Manna has been using “Punch Alert” app for 3 schools. This app was suggested to Mrs. Rogers to consider as a communication tool to promote campus safety because Greenfield has a rather expansive campus.

Not only he will recommend this app to faculty and staff, but it is required for them to download and use when appropriate.

At this time, students and parents will not download the app, and they shouldn't need it; the app is primarily for internal responders and campus faculty and staff to communicate threats and emergencies to one another swiftly so that everyone's health and safety is protected as well as possible.
