Girl's Tennis "Right on Track"

by Darcy Dean

The Greenfield School Varsity girls' tennis team is 2-1. The Knights are on the right track to a great season.

The team is led by the senior, Libby Eagles (first seed), and Junior, Luisa Lee (second seed). The Knights are coached by Mrs. Robin Morrison but they have yet to play their first conference match.

With the majority of the team being juniors, the Knights have got lots of tennis experience. “Between four of my players, we have 16 years of varsity experience," Coach Morrison said. "I think that one of the things that benefits us most on the varsity team is that we have longevity. What you really need is the mental toughness of being out there on the court by yourself and trying to win a match.”

The Knights are excited about what the rest of their season will hold. In the words of first seed Libby Eagles, “I’m excited! It’s my last year because I’m a senior and we have a really strong team this year.”
