The FNCS, also known as the Fortnite Champion Serious, is a tournament that takes place in the months of December and January. The FNCS has a prize purse of $4,000,000. Anybody can compete in this tournament. The FNCS can be played as a solo or vs 100 players or a duo vs 50 teams. Fortnite is now getting more hype than ever because the payout can be huge. If you place 2500th in the tournament you will still make over $300, which is why so many people play the game.

Fortnite is a free to play battle royal game available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox 1 and all later models of Xbox. Fortnite was created by Epic games and was released in 2017. The game begins with 100 players in a battle bus. The battle bus is a bus with a balloon attached to the bus that allows the bus to glide over the map. The bus flies over the map and as the bus flies the map, players will jump out of the bus and glide to the location, they want to get loot (weapons or shield).

Wesley Howard, who is a junior at Greenfield School, states “The thing that makes Fortnite such a unique game to me is the fact that you can build in order to defend yourself, which is super cool.”
