Did you miss Greenfield’s Fall Family Night but still want a scoop on what happened? Well, then this is the article for you! We’ll be recalling the games that were there, the food that was served, and even a brief overview of the Powder Puff Game. Check out the article by staff writer Zach Lozevski for more info on this game.
The first thing you saw when you entered Fall Family Night was the tents with both volunteers and staff members selling the all-inclusive bracelet that paid for most food and games.
As you walked in, you saw the Cake Walk booth ran by members of the SGA; put simply, contestants would pay one dollar and walk around in a circle until the music played by the SGA stopped. Everyone would then choose a space, and a random spot would be chosen. The winner would be able to come up and choose one of the numerous donated cakes.
If you entered from the backside, you saw a giant dart board into which you could throw sports balls at; there were also s'mores and hotdogs nearby.
The next thing you would likely bump into is the basket raffle; it was numerous large tables that had baskets on top of them that you could enter a raffle for.
Another game - which was my personal favorite - was the inflatable foosball table. In this game, participants would climb into the massive foosball table and play as if they were one of the pieces it was run by student volunteers.
The arguably most popular game there was the dunk tank, which saw players throwing balls at a small target to knock the likes of Mr. Thompson, Mrs. Bachelor, and student volunteers into a dunk tank filled with water.
At last, the Powder Puff Game: the biggest event of the night, and the longest. It ended pulling many viewers attention and had a climatic end, with the pink team claiming victory.
While this article is packed full of information about the Fall Family Night, it’s simply impossible to record it all - so go talk to someone about it, make conversation, meet new people, and have fun!
