Day in the Life: Mr. B

Have you ever wondered what your favorite teachers do when they are not at school? Here is a look at Mr. Benoit’s daily routine.

Mr. Benoit starts his day bright and early by waking up around 5:00 am and usually leaves his house around 5:25. He said, “It depends a lot on if I have to be here to do more work in the morning.” The first thing he does when he wakes up is drink a full 32-ounce bottle of water to stay hydrated. He says: "Hydrate or diedrate!"

Once he gets to school, he teaches 5 or 6 classes, depending on the day. When asked how long it takes him to drive home after work, Mr. Benoit said, “I leave work at 3:30, and then depending on traffic going through Raleigh, I’m home usually by 4:40.”

When he gets home from work, the first thing he does is change out of his work clothes and take a walk. This helps him to clear his head after a long day. He usually goes to bed around 9:00 pm, but it depends on what he has going on in the morning and what he did during that day.
