Each year, the freshman class visits colleges around the southeast to begin thinking about the college process. The first college visit will be to the College of William and Mary.
William and Mary is a college in Williamsburg, Virginia. William and Mary is the second oldest college in the United States, and it was established in 1693 by King William III and Queen Mary II of England.
William and Mary has a lot to offer. They offer over 40 majors including social sciences, business, marketing, and many other subjects. 63% of majors are in STEM and computational fields.
They have also been ranked highly as a great graduate and undergraduate school by many organizations. In 2019, William and Mary was ranked number 1 for the best business schools by Bloomsburg Businessweek.
William and Mary’s campus is beautiful with a Georgian style of architecture, which finds its roots in the Renaissance period.
The university has an acceptance rate of 38%. The average cost of tuition after aid is $16k. The graduation rate for students is 91%.
On average, applying students have SAT scores of 1350-1520 and ACT scores of 31-34. Students who plan or hope to attend William and Mary should be excited about a great learning experience. They can also look forward to building skills to help them in their working life through hard work and perseverance.
