Jeallen Holland is a senior here at Greenfield, and has been going to Greenfield since she was 3 years old. She says her favorite thing about Greenfield is the small and tight-knit atmosphere where you can get a good one-on-one learning experience from the teachers.
Jeallen has been a part of many sports at Greenfield including cross country, volleyball, basketball, and soccer. She has won a state Championship in soccer as well as been state runner up in soccer for two consecutive years. In volleyball she made it to the final four of the state tournaments for the first time in school history. She is also involved in many clubs like SGA, Spanish Club, Outdoor Adventure Club, Environmental Club, Headbands for Hope, FCA, and Young Life. In her free time, she likes to relax and spend time with her family and her dog Barkley who is a brown lab.
Jeallen’s favorite class ever was Anatomy with Mr. Land, but at the moment her favorite class is Spanish 4 with Sr. Giron. Jeallen wants to attend NC State or University of Georgia to pursue a major in animal science or pre-veterinary medicine, “I have always loved animals and being able to help them in any way possible. I love science and biology, so it was an obvious choice to combine my love for science and my love for animals to find my perfect major.
If Jeallen had to choose one thing to tell younger students at Greenfield it would be “I know school seems stressful and takes over your whole life, but it is important to have fun and take care of yourself. Enjoy school!”
