Class of 2022 Spotlight: KJ Peten

by Ethan Carraway

KJ is a member of this year's senior class and proves how maturity and years of schooling can make someone wise at a young age. KJ has never stopped being a helping hand to his classmates every day, which is a part of why he won the Citizenship Award for the second six weeks term.

KJ joined the Greenfield community in 2017 during his freshman year. He says that his favorite year so far is the current 2021-2022 school year. KJ was a part of the cricket club before it disbanded and talked of how the cricket club was “more of a family than a club”. He greatly enjoyed his time with the club but has since forgotten how to play. KJ plans to attend North Carolina State University, a well-known and respected university in our state. When I asked KJ for the best words of advice he could give me, he said, “Have fun but do your work”, and that really stuck with me. We wish KJ the best with his college future and look forward to welcoming him back to Greenfield in the future.
