Jackson Perdue is currently in his final year here at Greenfield and looks back on his time in our school and community. “I came here in the ninth grade. I've enjoyed it so far, [but] I can't wait to graduate!” he said.
Along with academics, Jackson also plays sports. He has played both swimming and tennis. Currently, he is one of the core members of the swim team and is going to attend the state swim meet in Greensboro. He is looking to finish the swim season strong.
Jackson is happy to finally be a senior and speaks of what it is like: “It's very rewarding to know that all of the work over the last few years has really paid off.” He is excited to finish this year strong amidst the college search, “[and] I know that I want to pick my college sometime soon. I'd like to finish on good terms, good grades, and maybe leave an impact of some sort.” Jackson is hoping to attend Appalachian State University next year.
Although he already has one foot into the college world, he is still thinking about Greenfield and the impact it has had on him. When he was asked what he was going to miss the most about Greenfield, he kept his answer short and reminiscent. He simply responded, “the people." That statement is very indicative of the impact Greenfield has had on Jackson. Many seniors have answered in the same or similar way, and Jackson is a reason why.
