On January 3rd, 2024, a series of bombings happened in Tehran, Iran. The bombings killed 89 or more people during a commemoration for an Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani that was killed four years ago in a U.S. air strike in 2020 by a U.S. drone, the interior minister said on January 5 several suspects had been arrested for the attacks.
The people that are suspected to be responsible for these attacks are the Islamic state (ISIS). They said in a report two of their members detonated their vests that had explosives on them. Connor Daniel said he saw this on the news and thinks “there's no reason for all the bombings they are doing.” A poll was sent out and only 20% of people (which was 2 people) had seen this on the news which shows these issues just don't get enough attention. All respondents( which was 10 people) said that the bombings were wrong and always will be.
