"Best of Wilson" is an eight-part series that aims to highlight local businesses, cultural icons, and important institutions in the city of Wilson and its environs. Each week, a member of The Knight's Post staff will choose a location to write on in an effort to draw attention to what makes Wilson "Wiltson."

Wilson, North Carolina has a few great barbecue places to eat at. These include Marty’s BBQ, Smithfield’s Chicken ‘N Bar-B-Q, and my favorite: Parker’s Barbecue.

I have eaten at Parker’s Barbecue many times in my life. I feel that you can always count on a delicious meal. First off, I must mention their absolutely incredible sweet tea. Secondly, their food from the barbecue to the corn sticks are amazing. Lastly, I always see their servers running around working hard at their job.

I have quite a few memories from Parker’s Barbecue. I remember eating there with a group of friends and family after my sister and I got baptized. That was a very special lunch around a love-filled table. I have many memories of eating there with my family. We’ve shared many laughs around a table at Parker’s Barbecue. It’s a place for family and friends to gather and share some fantastic food.

I love eating a delicious meal topped off with my all-time favorite sweet tea from Parker’s Barbecue. I recommend you go to Parker’s Barbecue in Wilson, N.C. to experience their delicious food (and, of course, sweet tea) to see just what it is I’m talking about!
