From assisting Mrs. Peters to doing the morning announcements, Mrs. Fulghum does it all. Any issue that you may have, just go to the front office and talk to Mrs. Fulghum, and she will be happy to help.

When you walk into the Greenfield School office, the first person that you see is Mrs. Fulghum, who will greet you with a happy smile and a bright attitude.

She started working at Greenfield as a substitute teacher and in after-school care in 2016. When asked what has changed the most about Greenfield since she has been here, she said, “The classes have grown and the students have grown. With that growth there has also been a lot more pride and confidence in the school.”

Mrs. Fulghum’s responsibilities include answering the phones, helping people that walk into the office that need assistance, doing attendance, announcements, helping everyone in the office (including Mrs. Peters), and assisting the business office any time that they need it. She says that one of her favorite things about Greenfield is watching the students grow; she enjoys seeing the middle schoolers grow into young men and women, and seeing graduates prepare for college and for the real world.

As I mentioned earlier, one of Mrs. Fulghum's main responsibilities is the morning announcements. Every morning she gives us the details of what is going on that particular day, such as announcing people’s birthdays.

In an interview, she was asked what it felt like to be “The Voice of Greenfield School” in response, she said, “Most days it’s very rewarding. There are some days that it’s challenging, but I love it.”
