Mrs. Johnson works as the Library Media Center Coordinator. She has been doing this at Greenfield School for nearly four years. She teaches lower school classes, middle school classes, and coaches a couple of Battle of the Books teams.

Mrs. Johnson starts teaching research skills in lower school classes and continues to enhance these skills through middle school. She also tries to inspire a love for reading in her many students. When asked what her favorite part of her job is, Mrs. Johnson said, “I love sharing books with kids. I love when kids are excited about books that they read.”

About the hardest part of her job, grading, Mrs. Johnson said, “I think that when you’re trying to promote a love of reading, it can be difficult to attach a grade to that. So, my goal is to encourage students to be really curious and to enjoy reading and to find in their reading something that they’re passionate about.”

Mrs. Johnson works hard to stay up to date on new books and to learn over the years what books students will like. She encourages students to read and wants them to enjoy doing so.
